With its improved Ionizer technology we explored a lighter design language for Sharp's new flagship air purifier
Powered by its air-cleaning ionizer technology Sharp’s Air Purifiers are well-recognised around the world. Envary was commissioned to design one of Sharp’s new floor-standing Air Purifiers exploring a lighter design language and ensuring an iconically differentiated look to the increasingly similar looking competition. The relaxed shapes provide fresh ambience to any space and its inhabitants.
What we did: The air purifier was designed around the idea of icy landscapes, resembling the appearance of tapered ice shelves eroded into gently curved shapes by wind and weather. Besides of crucial functional aspects to replace HEPA filters and conduct maintenance, the purifier’s exhaust area was iconically designed to represent various layers of ice.
